Dr. Sadia Upright received a Doctorate in Forensic Psychology, Victimology from Walden University in July 2022. She also received her Master of Arts in Human Services Counseling from Liberty University in December 2013 and a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Liberty University in May 2017. She is currently pursuing her PhD in Clinical Sexology from International Institute of Clinical Sexology. She is a sex therapist-in training. She is a credentialed victim advocate... She is a juvenile sex offender therapist. She is PREPARE-ENRICH certified facilitator. She is EMDR trained. She has testified on numerous occasions as an expert witness in court as a trauma expert. She has expertise in parental capacity evaluations, psychosexual evaluations, competency evaluations and other areas of forensic evaluations. She is adjunct faculty at Pfeiffer University in the Marriage and Family Therapy Department.

Sadia has clinical experience in depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, post-traumatic stress disorder and trauma-related disorders, anxiety, suicidal ideation, childhood trauma, domestic violence, dissociative identity disorder, substance dependency, sexual addictions, and marital/family conflict. Her specialization is working with victims of sexual and violent crimes, adult survivors of childhood sexual trauma, and sex addictions. Her theoretical orientation integrates modalities of cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic theories, family systems theory, REBT and person-centered approach. Her approach is eclectic and tailored to meet the specific needs of the client. Sadia has provided therapeutic services to individuals, groups, children, and couple/family systems. Sadia believes in a holistic approach to therapy that involves careful consideration of an individual or family system’s biological, social, psychological, and spiritual needs. Sadia values the use of spiritual integration in the therapeutic process.
