A licensed clinical social work associate in the State of North Carolina, LaVerne earned her Master of Social Work degree from the University of Connecticut and is certified as a Master Social Worker by the American Association of Social Work Boards. .. LaVerne has more than 25 years of experience working with individuals and families. She began her career working with children and their families in the child protection/foster care and dependency court system in Connecticut. Life is an incredible journey, with compassion and understanding, she will work with individuals to help them build on their strengths and accomplish personal growth along this journey.

LaVerne is an is an interactive, family-systems therapist. Her therapeutic approach is to evaluate each person within their environment, provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively face personal life challenges. She integrates complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, she works with everyone to help them build on their strengths and attain personal growth. In addition to private practice, LaVerne is a volunteer with StepUp Greensboro Job Readiness program and has been employed as a school social worker.
